‘Round the Farm

Chicken Tractors

A chicken tractor is a mobile coop that we move around the pasture. It gives our chickens fresh grass, sunshine, and bugs every day while keeping them safe from predators. As the chickens forage, they naturally fertilize the soil and help improve the land.

Egg Mobile

An egg mobile is a portable coop for our laying hens. It was built on a trailer so we can move it to different pastures and graze our hens behind our cattle. The hens enjoy fresh grass and bugs each day, while laying eggs in the nest boxes inside. It keeps the hens happy and healthy, and the land fertile.

Fresh from the Farm

Dear Farm Friends,

There is much to share from the farm this season. We recently introduced a new group of laying hens to our flock, which will provide a steady supply of fresh, delicious eggs in the cooler months ahead. Our beef steers are also approaching their butcher date, and now is an ideal time to plan if you are interested in stocking your freezer with individual cuts of pasture-raised beef.

We are excited to announce several additions to our pastured poultry selection, including ground chicken and leg quarters. These new options offer versatility in the kitchen and are perfect for quick, nourishing meals. In addition, with the arrival of cooler weather, we are highlighting our popular soup kits. These kits are designed to create rich, flavorful broths that make an excellent base for hearty soups and stews, perfect for fall cooking.

Thank you, as always, for supporting our farm. Your commitment to choosing local, pasture-raised food allows us to continue caring for the land, the animals, and our community. We look forward to providing wholesome food for your table this season and beyond.

Recipe Spotlight: Grilled Half Chicken

Season a half chicken with olive oil, minced garlic, fresh herbs (we love a blend of rosemary and thyme), salt, and pepper. Place it on a medium-hot grill, skin side down, and cook for 10–12 minutes until nicely browned. Flip and continue grilling over indirect heat for about 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving. The result is tender, juicy meat with crisp, flavorful skin — perfect alongside roasted vegetables or a fresh fall salad.

Warm regards,

The Adams Family
